Our sewer cleaning trucks are equipped with an innovative system allowing the return of water to your pit with a water seeded (that is to say that contains purification bacteria) necessary for the operation of your pit

Your Independent Sanitation

Septic Tank

Non-collective sanitation (ANC) refers to individual domestic water treatment facilities. These schemes relate to dwellings that are not served by a public sewage collection system and therefore have to treat their own wastewater before releasing it into the natural environment.

The treated wastewater consists of sewage (toilet water) and gray water (washbasins, kitchen, washing machine, shower, etc.). ANC installations must allow for the common treatment of all wastewater.

To be in conformity with the regulations in force, an autonomous (non-collective) sanitation must consist of the following elements:

  • An all-pit (collection of sewage from the dwelling) or a septic tank (collection of toilet water only)
  • A system of ventilation of the all water pit to evacuate the gases and odours produced in the pit (extractor)
  • A spreading field consisting of PVC drains of diameter 100 (fitted with slots) in order to disperse the pretreated water
  • A grease trap that collects the waters from kitchen, bathroom and laundry ...
  • A pre-filter composed of pozzolana or a polyethylene cassette whose function is to retain the particles in suspension in water

Following collection, the domestic wastewater is pre-treated in a pit which allows the settling of the suspended matter in the collected water, the retention of the floating elements and a first stage of degradation.

Risks and breakdowns in case of poor maintenance

Risks and breakdowns in case of poor maintenance

Irreversible deterioration of the application area

When the volume of sludge, grease and suspended particles becomes too great, the effluents leaving the pit become loaded with sludge and irreversibly clog the successive layers of sand located in the spreading zone.

Sealed pipes

If pit emptying is not carried out regularly, this can also become clogged, causing the pipes to be loaded between the pit and the dwelling, resulting in a malfunctioning of all the flows.

The smells

Failure to empty or poor maintenance of the pit can also cause bad odours, either inside the house or outdoors near the pit.

  • Never spill the following materials into the pit: coffee filters, hair, disposable diapers, cat litter, grease or oils, wipes, periodic pads, contraception, dressings... these decompose too slowly and are therefore a source of clogging for the purification field (drains).
  • Never spill polluting chemicals such as: antifreeze, gasoline, paint, varnish, thinner, pesticides, herbicides or any other chemical used in the home. These products are extremely harmful to the environment.
  • Whenever possible, avoid spilling chlorine, bleach or borax that slows or even destroys the bacterial activity needed to treat the organic matter in the pit.
  • If shrubs or trees are planted too close to pits and drains, their roots could clog them.

Points to check

When emptying a septic tank, check the following points:

  • After a drainage, the pit must be very quickly put back in water to avoid compression of the ground (the crushing of the pit).
  • The water used for the re-watering of the pit must be seeded, that is to say it must contain purifying bacteria which allow the immediate reactivation of the water treatment.

Our strong point

Our hydrocurors are equipped with an innovative and unique system allowing the return of water to your pit with a water seeded (that contains the bacteria of purification) necessary to the operation of your pit at the end of our Interventions.

In order to ensure the proper functioning of your sanitation system, it is recommended to perform periodic draining, approximately every two years.

But be careful the lids of the pit must be clear and accessible so that the workers can work in good conditions and guarantee quality work.
